The renewable energy sector is continuing to thrive and showing no signs of abating, as confirmed by the most recent edition of Solar & Storage Live. The event – which took place at the NEC on 17 to 19 October last month – appeared to be particularly buoyant, with well-attended stands and a particular buzz across the aisle across all three days of the event. Its success has now been confirmed by the post-show report issued this week, which indicates record breaking figures with regards to both exhibitors and visitors.

The report reveals that the event was a sell-out, with over 425 exhibitors showing at the event. Attendance was also at its highest ever level since the show began, with a total of 17,000 unique visitors across the three day event.

For those in the renewable energy sector, the record-breaking attendance at the show is indicative of a growing industry.

“I first came to Solar & Storage six years ago with another company and the show was tiny,” says Hazel Sturgess, head of European marketing for solar energy specialist CCL Components. “But the show has just grown and grown and I keep waiting for it to plateau out but it never does. This industry is just huge at the moment.”

CCL Components was a first-time exhibitor at this year’s event, and entrusted Smart Display to create its stand. The three days were such a success that the brand has already committed to the 2024 edition of the show, and will be re-using its stand components for brand continuity and of course, sustainability.

“We were really happy with the stand,” says Hazel. “It was nice and open and a perfect meeting place – we welcomed a lot of visitors, but it never felt too crowded.”

The high attendance at this year’s show was also particularly internationally diverse, suggesting that Solar & Storage Live is a true destination event on a global scale. After the UK, China was the most well-represented country, followed by Germany, Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands. In total, visitors hailed from 20 countries, making 55.800 connections and establishing a truly global network.

Brands in the renewable energy sector are advised to sign up to Solar & Storage Live 2024 now to avoid disappointment. As a sustainable stand manufacturer, Smart Display is your perfect partner for the event, and has availability to design, transport and install further stands for the 2024 edition.
