Upping our game

Smart Display will host an exciting interactive competition next week from its stand at the B2B Marketing Expo. To celebrate its first ever exhibition appearance, Smart Display will invite all visitors to the stand to have a go at cracking the code to win a Meta Quest 2 Advanced All-in-One VR headset.

Located tantalisingly within an acrylic box, the must-have prize is protected by a three-digit passcode. All visitors will be invited to attempt to open the box by guessing the code, with the correct combination releasing the prize to its new owner. Bu even if the code is incorrect, visitors are still in with a chance of winning; if no-one has cracked the code by 3pm on day two of the show, Smart Display will raffle it off to all those who have attempted to win over the two day event.

“We wanted to do something different to celebrate our first-ever exhibition appearance,” says Smart Display marketing executive Christina Chambers. “We design and build stands for hundreds of clients, so we know all about the potential of adding an interactive feature into an exhibition stand. This is a fun, inclusive way to get visitors involved in what we do, with the guarantee that one lucky visitor will walk away with this must-have gadget by close of play on the last day.”

Since its inception in 2016, Smart Display has designed and installed hundreds of stands for clients across the full spectrum of industry sectors from pet care to engineering. Next week’s exhibition is however the first time that the company has designed a stand of its own, targeting both end-users and B2B agencies looking to introduce exhibition stand design into their full-service offer.

The key elements of Smart Display’s exhibition stand are creativity, impact branding and re-used elements, demonstrating how the manufacturer can create inspiring brand environments with sustainability at their core.

“Our work is very visual, so we find that potential customers see what we can do at exhibitions and approach us directly,” says Smart Display’s managing director Chris Stewart. “That type of organic growth has worked well for us but, with the B2B Marketing Expo, we have identified an opportunity to connect with a wider audience by doing what we do best – building an exhibition stand.”

The B2B Marketing Expo has evolved into a must-attend event since its inception in 2016. Having weathered the pandemic storm with a virtual expo in 2020, the annual show resumed in 2021, and enjoyed its busiest ever edition last year. This month is set to see over 6000 visitors attend over the two-day event to see 150 exhibitors and a programme of 100 speakers lined up to give targeted industry advice.

For now, the exact design of the Smart Display stand is being kept underwraps. However, visitors are invited to stop by and see how bespoke exhibition stand design can elevate a brand presence, giving exhibitors an edge over their competitors. As well as seeing Smart Display’s own creation, visitors will be able to gain an insight into the creative potential of stand building with Smart Display’s extensive portfolio of previous structures. The team will also be on-hand to guide potential customers through the process, from the initial CAD design stage to the practicalities of liaising with the exhibition organiser, installation and breakdown.

With around 75 per cent of business originating from repeat custom and a five-star rating on Google, Smart Display is confident that its stands deliver. With a wide network of clients across all industry sectors, the stand-builder is equally at ease installing at events all over the UK and overseas, taking care of each brand’s design process in-house from initial concept through to installation.
