The lay of the land

Landscaping exhibition Saltex has established itself as the industry’s premier international event with a diverse visitor demographic spanning 58 countries. The trade event – which took place at the NEC last week – reported a truly international mix of visitors across both days, with a high calibre of serious buyers in attendance.

The diverse visitor database confirms Saltex’s position as Europe’s largest destination event for sports turf, amenities and landscaping.

“Saltex comes at the right time to help us start planning for the remainder of the season and also next season,” says Callum Allsopp, senior sports turf and grounds manager at Leicester City Football Club. “We attend with the primary objective of seeing the lay of the land in terms of new innovations and technology, and looking at what we can take back and implement at the stadium and training grounds. This year’s show was so worthwhile, and we have come away with so much to consider for next year.”

For Smart Display’s client AriensCo, the quality of the visitors made for a positive experienced across the two-day event.

“We were happy with the gathered leads and the high sales probability,” says Roman Muehleck, product marketing for AriensCo. “The stand looked very good, and our visitors seemed to think the same.”

Although Saltex has been an indoor event for some time now, Roman was attending for the first time since the exhibition stopped being outdoors. As a mowers and snow blowers specialist, AriensCo is equally experienced in indoor and outdoor exhibiting, and the brand is now looking to re-use its stand at Groundsfest in September.

“Our installation looked significant this time around,” says Roman. “We will be re-using our stand at next year’s Saltex and Groundsfest as well.”
