The big weekend
The Smart Display team is gearing up for its biggest weekend of the year, which will see exhibition stand installations at six shows across five, major European cities. With events taking place in Birmingham, London, Madrid, Barcelona and Frankfurt within a three-day window, Smart Display’s installation team is dividing and conquering to ensure every project has the necessary mix of joinery, electrics and building skillsets.
The big weekend – taking place from Friday 17th April for shows starting on Monday 20th April – will see Smart Display install;

- Covering an impressive 1021.5 sq metres of exhibition space
- Within a three-day timeframe
The portfolio of clients includes four new arrivals as well as nine existing customers, who have once again entrusted their exhibition stand installations to Smart Display. And with product sectors spanning seafood, colour technology, retail software, manufacturing and marine geoscience, it’s a diverse selection of stand designs set to go live all across Europe next month.
“Our work is very seasonal by nature, and it’s not unusual to have several shows coinciding followed by quieter periods of reduced activity,” says Shane Riding, production director. “We pride ourselves on precision and planning, but the forthcoming weekend in April has seen us draw upon all of our resources to make sure that every stand installation is delivered on time and to the highest standards that our clients have come to expect. The biggest challenge is dividing our team across the projects to ensure that we have the necessary skillset at each installation, and the project management aspect is challenged further when three of the six venues are overseas. But we are rising to the challenge and confident that we will have every stand over the line before doors open on the Monday.”
The big weekend in April follows hot on the heels of a busy March, which saw Smart Display take care of 17 exhibition stand installations in London, Birmingham, Cologne, Nuremberg, Amsterdam and Atlanta, Georgia.
