Stars of the show

Smart Display is maintaining its enviable five-star rating on Google reviews following a spate of trade shows over the past few months. The company has seen a busy autumn season, designing and installing over 50 stands both in the UK and overseas within the last three months alone. Despite the growth of the business however, ensuring every stand is delivered to the highest possible standard is at the core of Smart Display’s ethos, and the ongoing positive feedback from clients is paramount to those at the helm of the business.

The latest series of reviews all award Smart Display five stars, citing exemplary service and striking stand design as the two main reasons that clients would use the firm again.

“We used Smart Display for our stand at Offshore Europe this year and they couldn’t have made our lives any easier,” says Helen Dove, proposal and business support co-ordinator at Doris Group. “They took care of coordinating all the extras; electricals, carpeting and so on, and communicating at each point. The finished result was very professional and eye-catching.”

“The Smart Display team are super easy to deal with,” agrees Suzanne Winham, marketing manager at Apex. “They take the stress away of having to deal with anything, and the stand looks really professional and eye-catching.”

With around 75 per cent of the Smart Display operation being made up of repeat business, customer satisfaction is integral to the company’s business model. Whether businesses are breaking into exhibiting for the first time or experienced on the exhibition circuit, Smart Display aims to exceed all expectations in terms of design, delivery and service.

I’ve been attending, organising and exhibiting at trade shows in the UK and around the world for 30 plus years and its a great feeling when you know you can work with a stand designer and builder and not have to worry how it’s all going to come together,” says John McGhee, director at Hire Supply Company. “This is the second year we have used Smart Display at our main yearly show [Executive Hire Show at the NEC] and we are so impressed that we have signed up for a further two years.”

And it’s not just UK-based clients that are revolutionising their approach to exhibiting with Smart Display. An increasing proportion of the company’s business is now originating from both overseas clients, or UK-based clients exhibiting at overseas shows.

“Working with Smart Display was a fantastic experience,” says Yi Yi Thia, marketing & sales enablement specialist at Singapore-based firm Filtrona, which exhibited at Dortmund-based show Intersupply in September. “They completed the booth on time – early even – allowing us ample preparation time, and all my colleagues had nothing but good things to say about the booth. We’re looking forward to future collaborations.”

The added challenges of customs restrictions and cross-border transportation can be overwhelming for exhibitors, so having an industry expert take care of the entire process is particularly reassuring.

“If we were building the stand and transporting the merchandise ourselves, exhibiting overseas would be a challenge,” says Andrew Priestley, sales manager at Helispares, which is exhibiting at European Rotors in Madrid this month. “But Smart Display takes all of those challenges away. We feel like we are dealing with a company that actually cares and gives us 100 per cent, even though we are one of many customers.”
