Building an empire

Smart Display has swapped temporary architecture for something a whole lot more permanent with its relocation into new premises. Just weeks on from its ten-year anniversary, the exhibition stand designer and builder has expanded into new bigger premises to accommodate its growing business and bolstered team of specialist designers, project managers and installers.

The move sees the business relocate to the Wyke Mills complex, just three miles from its previous site in Brighouse. The new 25,000 sq ft space is over double the size of the former 10,000 sq ft premises, allowing the team the space to process a steady increase in business.

“In reality we outgrew our current premises around two years ago!” says Smart Display’s managing director Chris Stewart. “We’ve enjoyed consistent growth over the past four years and bringing on board new clients also means hiring new staff and creating more manufacturing and more storage space to deliver the work.  We’ve added additional storage facilities over the years but this move allows us to bring everything finally under one roof, whilst also increasing our overall footprint to facilitate further growth in the coming years.

The big move was completed over the weekend, and the team is now in situ at the new premises at Wyke Mills Complex, 694 Huddersfield Road, Bradford, BD12 8JY. As the quieter summer season draws to a close, pre-builds are already underway at the site ahead of the busy September / October season, which will see Smart Display install stands in Warwick, Stoneleigh, London, Telford, Manchester, Birmingham, Dortmund, Hannover and Telford.
