Smart choices, new beginnings
Smart Display’s first generation of clients sourced from trade shows have enjoyed a successful first season with their brand new exhibition stands.
At the end of November last year, Smart Display took the decision to make its very own exhibition debut, drawing upon a decade’s expertise in stand-building to create a presence of its own at the B2B Marketing Expo. Targeting marketing professionals directly within a trade show environment was an unprecedented move for Smart Display but, throughout the two day event, the exhibitions specialist was overwhelmed by the reaction to its stand design and build services.
Now – halfway through the year – the clients that came on board as a result of the show have enjoyed their first round of exhibitions, and all have been delighted with the response to the designs created and installed by Smart Display.
“We were actually awarded first place for Best Stand at the UK Garage & Body Exhibition, and it would not have been possible without Smart Display,” says Ben Walton, marketing co-ordinator at the Bilstein Group who approached the Smart Display stand at the B2B Expo last year. “We came on board with Smart Display because we wanted to create a fresh and new approach to our exhibitions this year, and the reaction was amazing. We just want to say a massive thank you to all the team at Smart Display who all played a part in making it come together.”
Following the successful debut its stand design, the Bilstein Group has already appointed Smart Display to reconfigure its stand elements for its next exhibition in Dublin later in the year.
Also on its second exhibition with Smart Display is ophthalmic equipment manufacturer BVI Medical. Following a meeting on the Smart Display stand at the B2B Expo last year, marketing manager Christian Oster decided to entrust his brand’s exhibition presence to Smart Display for its full roster of events this year – most recently, the ICO Annual Conference in Westport, Ireland.
“This is the second show we have done with Smart Display, and we have been impressed with the professional and friendly approach and the high quality workmanship,” he says. “Working with Smart Display takes away a huge element of work for us, and it makes us look more professional.”
Having forged successful relationships with a wide range of clients across the sectors, Smart Display is once again hitting the road with its second exhibition. Heading north this time, Smart Display is looking to connect with marketing professionals, end-users and full-service agencies at the Marketing Showcase at Manchester’s Old Trafford ground on Tuesday 25th June.
“Trade exhibitions in general are seeing a huge upsurge in enthusiasm and attendance and this has been reflected in the number of brands seeking a bespoke stand design,” says Smart Display’s managing director Chris Stewart. “For those few days, a company’s exhibition stand is its branding, its platform to network and its shop window into every aspect of its offer, and brands are recognising the importance of getting it right. Appointing a specialist stand designer ensures a presence that distinguishes an exhibitor from its competition with the added advantage of ensuring a seamless exhibition experience. We are delighted to be representing this marketing niche as part of the Marketing Showcase roadshow, and we are open to the idea of rolling this model out across other geographical locations as the year progresses.”
The Manchester edition of Marketing Showcase takes place between 10am and 2pm within the Stadium’s Manchester Suite. The four-hour timeframe guarantees a focused, highly-targeted event where serious, business-minded attendees can connect with a carefully-curated portfolio of marketing specialists. The event will also play host to ten speakers, delivering engaging seminars on a range of topics including the changing digital landscape, tech trends, converting social media activity into actual sales and the marketing trends of the future.
