Finished Symphony

Smart Display has once again adapted its expertise in temporary architecture for a more permanent showroom refit for the Symphony Group. Having been approached by the kitchen and bedroom specialist to overhaul its showroom, the team visited the premises in Barnsley and created a vision to revolutionise the concept for 2026.

Primarily, those at the helm of the Symphony Group needed an updated timeline wall to reflect its progression since its inception through to the current day.

“Our previous display needed updating as the timeline stopped at 2021,” says Ashley Brunt, marketing product manager. “We wanted something more dynamic; something that would make the area feel lighter and also something that would be easier to update in future.”

Smart Display suggested incorporating foamboard panels which could be swapped out individually at a later date if any elements needed changing or updating. This flexible approach added longevity to the mural, ensuring it would remain relevant as the business grew and developed.

To increase the impact of the timeline wall, Smart Display also incorporated programmable LED lighting to create a pulsing wave effect, increasing the impact to visitors as they arrive into the showroom.

“We are very happy with the finished wall,” continues Ashley. “Whilst it might seem like a small part of a very large showroom space, it’s the first thing you see and is a natural stopping point when giving tours to customers so it’s important it sets a professional and inspiring tone and it definitely achieves that.”

The Smart Display team completed the showroom refit with the installation of frosted windows featuring the Symphony branding. This contemporary and stylish solution added an element of privacy to the meeting area without any compromise to the natural light of the overall space.

“Everyone I dealt with at Smart Display – from Chris Stewart who did the initial visit to see what we needed to the teams who did the design and installation work – were a pleasure to deal with,” says Ashley. “We chose Smart Display because we wanted a local company who we could partner with for future projects, and everything was done on time to the agreed standard, and the installers were presentable, professional and courteous which is important to us as the showroom remains open during refurbishment work.”
