Preparing to excel

The Retail Technology Show relocates to the London ExCeL next year, and the move is just one element of an exciting new era for this essential event. Having outgrown its previous home at the London Olympia, the show brings together retail pioneers and tech solutions designed to increase efficiency, improve customer experience and ultimately boost sales across the full spectrum of retail sectors.

This year saw over 12,000 retail professionals unite to see the latest innovations from over 400 exhibitors. Networking was as essential as sales, as like-minded professionals met to exchange ideas and overcome the sometimes-isolated existence of operating within an ever-changing retail landscape.

In recognition of the need for retailers to align with likeminded store-owners and managers, the Retail Tech Show will bring back the Big Retail Party at the end of day one, following its resounding success this year. Taking place from 4.30pm until 6pm on Wednesday 2 April at the venue’s decadent Champagne Bar, the party – sponsored by PMC – is an opportunity to those in the trade to swap ideas, network and celebrate their successes from till points all over the country.

“We are grateful for PMC’s continued support and sponsorship of the Big Retail Party and Champagne Bar,” says Matthew Bradley, events director for the Retail Technology Show. “Their commitment to fostering connections and providing high quality retail technology services and solutions to the retail sector perfectly complements the mission of the Retail Technology Show, and we are confident that the UK’s largest retail extravaganza will once again be an unmissable experience.”

With the majority of floorspace having already been reserved, suppliers in the retail technology sector are advised to book their positions sooner rather than later. Smart Display is working closely with the industry to provide exemplary stand design and build services to brands wanting to maximise the potential of the event, and deliver their message to a highly-targeted audience of retailers, store-owners and managers seeking new innovations.

“Retail technology is massive focus right now as retailers seek to overcome a challenging economy and the cost-of-living crisis,” says Smart Display’s sales manager Ben Rose. “There is no room for error, and retailers are making every effort to boost sales and implement the types of systems they need to maximise efficiency and enhance customer experience.

“For suppliers in the sector, now is a crucial time to connect with these retailers and work with them to overcome this tough economic climate. We are working with brands in the sector to create the types of stands that drive footfall and create a buzz in the aisles. It’s great news that the event has expanded into the ExCeL, but brands will have to work harder to stand out, and this is where our design team can really come into its own with an exhibition stand design that speaks volumes.”

As well as creative design, Smart Display delivers precision logistics with the help of a dedicated project manager for every client. Exhibitors can rest assured that, following sign-off, their exhibition presence will be fully-taken care of from electrics to risk assessment, allowing them to arrive to a perfectly-installed stand. On the last day of the event, Smart Display dismantles and stores its elements in line with its commitment to sustainability and keeping stand materials out of landfill.
