Planes, gains and brand new reveals
The Farnborough International Airshow has revealed an unprecedented level of interest in its 2024 edition, which will return to Hampshire on 22-26 July. Having welcomed over 74,000 professionals from 102 countries in 2022, the take-up of exhibitor space and visitor pre-registration both suggest that this year’s show will top its predecessor’s performance in terms of attendance and business opportunities.
“The interest from global businesses to exhibit and attend the Farnborough International Airshow has been phenomenal,” says Gareth Rogers, the show’s CEO. “It reflects the incredible demand there is from leaders to showcase their technology at our imitable platform and revolutionise the next era of the industry. The Airshow is more than just a five-day, biennial event – it’s a change agent powering excellence and innovation across the global aerospace and defence industries. I look forward to welcoming the world’s biggest, best and brightest to Farnborough in July this year.”
Since its inception in 1948, the Farnborough International Airshow has become the industry’s key date for aerospace and defence leaders to discover the latest pioneering technology and engineering, and to work together collaboratively towards the cumulative vision of sustainable aerospace.
Key features this time around will include the Space Zone showcasing the newest innovations in the market, the Business Connections Exchange programme which matches buyers and suppliers and the networking business lounge.
The show will also once again dedicate its last day to engaging and inspiring the next generation of aerospace professionals. Previously known as Farnborough Friday, Pioneers of Tomorrow is a dedicated STEM-focused open day which welcomes members of the public interested in a career in the aerospace sector.
As a regular exhibition stand installer at the event, Smart Display will once again be at the heart of the action. As part of its longstanding partnership with SA Catapult, Smart Display has reconfigured its exhibition stand, incorporating the innovative LED map highlighting its space station locations and striking backlit logo which has become a cornerstone of exhibitions including Space-Comm Expo, Dronex and UK Space Conference as well as the Farnborough International Airshow.
“The directional and innovative nature of the Farnborough Airshow gives our designers the opportunity to push the boundaries of creativity with striking stand design,” says Smart Display’s sales manager Ben Rose. We have worked with both SA Catapult and the UK Space Agency to create innovative and immersive brand environments that capture the brand’s identity as pioneer at the heart of satellite services revolution.”
With three months to go, Smart Display is currently in talks with further exhibitors looking to stand out from the competition, and has capacity to take on further stand builds at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow.
