Onward & Upward
The Smart Display team is Cologne-bound this weekend with a global representation of VTOL brands for aviation event European Rotors 2025. In a unique turn of events, Smart Display is installing for four clients, all of whom hail from overseas and have entrusted the full project-management of their stand to Smart Display.
The annual event – dedicated to the latest developments in vertical take off and landing aircraft – is familiar territory for Smart Display. Since 2023, the exhibition stand specialist has installed for a range of clients as the show moved around Europe from Madrid to Amsterdam until its most recent edition in Cologne next week.
“This is the third year that we have installed at European Rotors and, once again, all four of our clients are based overseas,” says Smart Display’s managing director Chris Stewart, who will personally accompany the project-management team to the show.
“We leave for Cologne this weekend and our clients will fly in from Montreal, Switzerland, Idaho and California respectively to fully-functioning stands that are ready for four days of business and lead generation. When a show is based in Europe, there is a lot more administration in the lead up to the event with regards to transportation and customs, but our project management team is well-versed in making sure everything runs smoothly. Our clients know that they are guaranteed a frictionless journey to a stress-free exhibition where their focus can be solely on their business.”
Smart Display has established itself as the trusted partner for exhibition stand design and build across the full breadth of the aviation sector. With regular installations at airshows including Farnborough as well as European Rotors 2025, the company is firmly rooted in aviation, and trusted by longstanding brands to help their exhibition presence to take off season after season.

“I didn’t want the language barrier that comes with working with a local stand contractor when we first worked with Smart Display for the Madrid edition of European Rotors,” says Peter Lewis, CEO at Alpine Air Support. “The Smart Display team produced a really good proposal with excellent designs and the communication has been great.”

The Alpine Air Support team has once again entrusted its stand design and build to Smart Display for European Rotors 2025, and will fly into Cologne from its native Switzerland next week to get the show underway. They will be joined by Dart Aerospace – arriving from Montreal – Nampa Valley who hail from Idaho and Freedom Aero Service who jet in from California.

European Rotors 2025 runs from the 17th – 20th November next week. As the last aviation event of the year, the exhibition and conference finishes up 2025 on a high with curation of static aircraft displays, product innovations and engaging content to shape the future of vertical flight. And when the industry touches down after the Cologne-based event, all attention will turn to the aviation events of 2026, which are already on the sector’s radar.
“We’re really excited to play our part in delivering such an integral event for the rotorcraft industry,” continues Smart Display’s Chris Stewart. “And when the dust settles in Cologne, our focus will turn to Verticon in Atlanta this March.”
