The printing industry is out for the duration in Dusseldorf as the trade’s 11 day event returns to its home at Messe Dusseldorf following an eight year absence. Drupa will bring together 1625 exhibitors from 52 countries from 28 May until 7 June, reflecting the rapid technological changes and global megatrends in the international printing sector.
Promoting its 2024 edition as happening at just the right time, drupa will present a portfolio of focus topics including the limitation of fossil resources, the aim to reduce carbon emissions and the longterm company strategies being adopted by industry professionals to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. Digitalisation and artificial intelligence will also be key topics of discussion amongst industry experts, who are presenting their latest innovations across 18 show halls and a total exhibition space of 140,000 sq m.
“Our motto for drupa 2024 is we create the future; that means that we embrace the latest trends and provide an increasingly important platform for exchange amongst industry professionals,” says drupa’s director Sabine Geldermann. “The’s show’s return after an eight year hiatus adds to the global community’s anticipation and excitement for drupa 2024. The industry is looking forward to groundbreaking technologies and product launches, making drupa the most important event of the year for the global printing and packaging industry.”
Smart Display is making its debut at this exciting event with its existing client Sandon Global, building upon the success of the brand’s impressive 10 x 4.5m stand at last year’s Label Expo. Smart Display designed and installed for the brand at the Brussels-based exhibition and, having enjoyed a buoyant show, Sandon Global didn’t hesitate in approaching Smart Display to take care of its 9 x 6.5m presence at this month’s drupa.
An award-winning manufacturer of anilox rolls, sleeves and cylinders for the worldwide print industry, Sandon Global will be revealing its latest range of innovative products, underpinned by the team’s extensive expertise and experience.
“Digital printing technologies, digital packaging and finishing solutions are prominently featured, and the highly relevant and knowledgeable transfer, networking, product and technology innovations on show for the first time will enhance the competitive advantage of participants,” continues Sabine. “Drupa is a unique opportunity to understand where the industry is going and a great opportunity to contribute to and co-create the vision of the global community.”
