Let there be light

London’s LiGHT Expo returns for its second edition this month, building upon a successful debut at the Business Design Centre last year. The event is the UK’s only trade show dedicated to lighting specification, targeting the hospitality, retail and residential sectors with both indoor and outdoor lighting brands.

Having welcomed 3500 visitors last year, the show has predicted a rise in visitor numbers of around 15 per cent, according to its pre-registration figures. Exhibitor numbers are also up, with an extended exhibition space playing host to over 100 from all over Europe.

Forge Europa is one brand returning to the event, following a successful edition last November. The LED lighting specialist demonstrated its design to manufacturing process, focusing on LED optics, thermal management and PCB (printed circuit board) design in particular.

Having had a positive experience with Smart Display at the debut event, Forge Europa has once again entrusted the company to build its exhibition stand at this year’s event. Taking advantage of a slightly extended exhibition space, Forge has carried over a lot of last year’s components with a few added elements for the 2023 show.

“Smart Display certainly made our lives much easier and perfectly executed our stand at the LiGHT 22 Expo,” says Forge Europa’s commercial director Ian Dixon. “The thrill of meeting potential new business contacts while showcasing our brand and capabilities makes exhibitions invaluable.”

Visitors to this month’s LiGHT 23 Expo can take advantage of an after-dark feature, which will see the show open until 9pm on its opening night. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a drink after working hours, while seeing lighting brands as they were intended as dusk falls.

LiGHT 2023 is open on 21-22 November at the Business Design Centre and registration is free.
