Fighting fire with innovation
The firefighting sector is gearing up for its key exhibition this year, which returns to Hannover a full four years after its last edition in 2022. As a quinquennial event – the most recent edition having been delayed due to Covid-19 – Interschutz 2026 is an essential date of the calendar for industry professionals to be brought fully up to date on the latest innovations of the past five years.
This time around the focus is on demonstrating what the firefighting world of tomorrow will look like. Encompassing both the developments of the past five years and the planned advancements of the forthcoming five years, Interschutz 2026 will serve as a showcase for vehicles, equipment, software, technology and training across a time period spanning a decade.
“Digital technology and AI are just two of the keywords that will significantly shape Interschutz,” says Thilo Horstmann, Head of Interschutz at Deutsche Messe. “Manufacturers will present genuine innovations and the best solutions for fire and disaster protection. Interschutz 2026 is and will remain the international world-leading trade fair for the sector.”
As the industry’s trusted partner for exhibition stand design and build, Smart Display is working with both UK and European exhibitors to create the exhibition presence brands need to make their mark on the industry for the next five years. As regular installers at venues all over Germany, the team will apply its expertise across the full process of the exhibition from the design and project management involved in the lead up to the event through to the installation and breakdown on site.
This time around will see Interschutz present a more international portfolio than ever with 1300 exhibitors representing over 50 countries. The portfolio of delegates is equally diverse, with visitors from over 60 countries having already registered to attend four months ahead of doors opening.
“High-level international firefighting delegations have registered from Germany and abroad, including from Singapore, Taiwan, South America, Sweden, and Denmark – with some of the longest-traveling guests coming from Australia and New Zealand,” continues Thilo. “Beyond the large-scale presentation of products and services, demonstrations, lectures, and competitions, they aim to once again use Interschutz as a platform for networking, the vital transfer of knowledge, and for nurturing old and new friendships across national borders.”
