Groundbreaking ideas
FutureScape is celebrating a new era of development this season with a focus on its three new pillars of education, innovation and sustainability. Having grown from humble beginnings, the exhibition has established itself as the UK’s leading landscaping event, bringing together professionals in the landscape architecture, landscape design and horticulture spheres.
“FutureScape has truly put landscaping on the map,” says the event’s managing director Jamie Wilkinson. “It gives the industry the platform it deserves by showcasing its vital role in sustainability, health and wellbeing, shaping a greener and more resilient future for all.”
Beyond its capacity as a product showcase, FutureScape is the industry’s hub for networking, knowledge exchange and shaping the future of the sector. This year in particular, visitors are encouraged to interact with the product as part of the Landscape Performance Live initiative. Incorporating “Innovation in Action” as well as a thought-provoking seminar programme, attendees will have the opportunity to get involved in live demonstrations of the latest high-performance equipment and techniques in landscaping.
Also returning after a successful debut last year is the Decking Hub. Brought to the event courtesy of industry body the Decking Network, the Decking Hub will demonstrate innovative installation methods using the latest materials available at the show to empower and inspire professionals for the season ahead.

The new features are testament to the event’s development into an essential hub for the industry. Since its lowkey inception at Kempton Park which saw just 35 exhibitors gather to showcase their product, the potential of the event was evident. A move to Sandown Park Racecourse just two years later accommodated rising demand for seven years, until the final move to the UK’s biggest exhibition centre – the London ExCeL – put the event firmly on the map as destination exhibition for landscaping.
As regular installers at the event, Smart Display will once again be back at the London ExCeL, laying the groundwork for a successful exhibition with a range of striking yet sustainable stands. As an innovative leader in its field with a strong commitment to better practices in sustainable stand build, Smart Display is the partner of choice for professionals in the landscaping sector.
Last year saw Smart Display deliver a high-functioning stand for Derbyshire Aggregates, incorporating the brand’s own specialist aggregate into its flooring and a water feature demonstrating the performance of the product.

“We erected the stand around the client’s own resin flooring, which needed time to cure during build,” says Smart Display’s creative director Nathan Hesslewood. “The design process overcame potential issues such as avoiding a trip hazard resulting from the join of the client’s resin and own flooring, and the safe removal of the resin flooring at the end of the event. However, we were able to work with the client to deliver a seamless build and an exhibition stand that perfectly showcased the potential of their product.”
As experts in their field, Smart Display is able to create innovative solutions for all types of product showcasing. If you have booked your space at FutureScape and want to discuss ideas as to how best to promote your product, get in touch today and see what we can do for you #wemakeevents.
