Demand for Dortmund
Four months ahead of its 2024 edition, trade show Intertabac has revealed that almost all of its space has already been booked by suppliers of tobacco products and accessories.
The Dortmund-based show – which takes place on 19-21 September – is co-located with sister show InterSupply, a specialist showcase of the manufacturing products behind tobacco products, e-cigarettes, pipes and hookahs. Between them, the two events anticipate a 700-strong portfolio of exhibitors across a total of 11 halls at Dortmund’s premier exhibition venue.
“It’s pleasing to see how quickly the spaces are being filled,” says Sabine Loos, managing director of exhibition venue owner Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe. “This is once again a clear sign of exhibitor confidence in InterTabac and InterSupply. This year too, people will get the benefit of our ongoing work to grow and improve our proposition and the very satisfactory status of bookings underlines this.”
For several years, Smart Display has worked with clients in the sector, installing at both InterTabac and Hall of Vape in Stuttgart. Having first designed for e-cigarette supplier Airscream in 2022, Smart Display was delighted to build upon the success of the brand’s stand last year with a bigger structure and a new video wall feature for added impact.
Singapore-based Filtrona meanwhile came on board last year for InterSupply, tasking Smart Display with maximising its 6 x 7m presence with an striking stand design and hanging banner feature.
“Working with Smart Display for our booth at InterSupply 2023 was a fantastic experience,” says Yiyi Thia, marketing and sales enablement specialist at the global supplier of filter solutions. “The team completed the booth on time – even early! – allowing us ample preparation time, and all of my colleagues had nothing but good things to say about the stand. I highly recommend Smart Display for their exceptional design and production services – we’re looking forward to future collaborations.”
Any brands looking to exhibit at the event are advised to get in touch with the venue as soon as possible, and to seek the services of a professional stand designer who can elevate their presence above that of the competition at what is guaranteed to be a buoyant and well-attended event.
“Due to the high number of bookings, exhibitors interested in participating in Dortmund should act quickly,” advises Sabine. “This is the only way to ensure they obtain one of the coveted spaces left.”
