Blue economy rising

Almost two-thirds of floorspace has now been booked up for the forthcoming edition of Subsea Expo, indicating that the event will sell-out well ahead of schedule for its 2025 edition.

With six months left until the exhibition returns to its home at the P&J Live in Aberdeen, the marine sector has thrown its support behind the event, which is organized by Global Underwater Hub. Bringing together professionals in the submarine, oil and gas, offshore energy, defence and marine science sectors, Subsea Expo welcomed over 6000 visitors this year, and expects to exceed this figure at its next edition in February.

Having cultivated strong ties with leaders in the marine field including Rovco, Smart Display will once again be pushing the boundaries of creativity with its exhibition stand design and build. Having installed at industry shows Oceanology and Global Offshore Wind as well as Subsea Expo, Smart Display is well-versed in bringing water to life across a range of directional exhibition stands.

“There is a real sense of innovation within the subsea sector, and brands want to present their capabilities and cutting-edge technologies within a brand environment that reflects this business ethos,” says Smart Display’s sales manager Ben Rose. “Water as a theme lends itself to some fantastic creative elements, and our designers really have surpassed themselves with video wall tiles, lighting and audio-visual elements that make a statement out of our clients’ stands.”

Smart Display is currently taking on clients who have already booked space or are considering taking a stand at Subsea Expo in February. Working with brands who want to maximise their presence, Smart Display is a driving force in creating brand environments that attract the interest of a highly-targeted visitor demographic at this essential sector event.

Organisers are anticipating a particularly upbeat and buoyant mood amongst visitors this time around, with a full conference programme designed to engage and inspire delegates.

“We have a very strong conference programme with a broad range of subjects being discussed and delivered by a knowledgeable and respected line-up of speakers,” says Neil Gordon, chief executive of Global Underwater Hub. “Combined with the busy exhibition arena, Subsea Expo will offer visitors lots of learning and networking opportunities. From exploring new technologies, developments in CCUS and hydrogen, and discussions around decommissioning, floating offshore wind, subsea inspection technologies and defence, the multi-stream conference illustrates the breadth of underwater opportunity available in the blue economy.”

The subsea community will also have the chance to recognise the achievements of its peers with the return of the Subsea Expo Awards & Dinner. Traditionally held on the first evening of the show, this black tie event awards outstanding achievement in the sector across a range of categories including Company of the Year Award, Global Exports Award, Rising Star Award and Technology Development Award.
