Independent drinks supplier Beyond the Bean added a brand new dimension to its exhibition presence last month with the addition of bespoke software designed to engage and entertain visitors. Designed and created by Smart Display in conjunction with Arcstream for the Northern Restaurant & Bar Show, the app invited customers to discover more about the Beyond the Bean brand with a fun, interactive quiz designed to reveal their perfect drinks match.
The innovation came about following a meeting between Beyond the Bean and Smart Display last November, when the drinks specialist requested a contemporary exhibition stand with the added feature of interactive software working in conjunction with a functioning coffee bar. Smart Display was only too pleased to oblige, and rose to the challenge with a stand design that drew visitors in from the aisles to discover the brand’s two distinct collections; Sweet Bird and the Bristol Syrup Co.
The exhibition was a massive success for the team, who have already commissioned Smart Display to recreate the stand design at the London Coffee Event this May.
“Everything ran smoothly, and the screen engaged the customers as we hoped it would,” says Caitlin Dear-Fitzpatrick, senior marketing manager at Beyond the Bean. “Having had a successful show, we are looking forward to re-using the interactive screen at the London Coffee Festival at the Truman Brewery in May.”
