Accelerating delivery
The utilities industry is poised for change ahead of the opening of its key sector event at the NEC tomorrow. Marketed under the new tagline of accelerating delivery, Utility Week Live will focus on the race towards net zero, with an increased focus on live content to complement its 200-strong portfolio of exhibitors.
Describing the industry as being at the “tipping point”, show organisers have tipped this year’s Utility Week Live to be a key driver for change across the gas, electric and water sectors. Now in its third year, the event has become an essential date on the industry calendar, and this year welcomes key representatives from regional suppliers including United Utilities, Severn Trent, Southern Water and Welsh Water.
“Utilities have arrived at the tipping point and there is no more time for talking,” says a spokesperson for the exhibition. “With just six years to go until low carbon commitments kick in in 2030, the focus must now be on accelerating delivery. Utility Week Live will offer more free content than ever before with six stages operating across the two days. The exhibition will host new zones and features designed to accelerate delivery for a digitally-enabled net zero future.”
Smart Display is a regular installer at Utility Week Live, and is once again working with Advance Welding to maximise the brand’s exhibition presence at this key event.
“With an exhibition this size, you really need to stand out from the crowd so a fantastic stand design is essential,” says Kevin Wilkinson, Advance Welding’s managing director. “We love working with Smart Display as they understand this, and always give us something special.
“This is the third year that we have exhibited at Utility Week Live. We find it a great show as it encompasses all areas of the utility industry; gas, water, drainage, and electricity. It also has a good mix from the guys on the tools right up to managers and specifiers. This year we will be releasing a new product and it is the perfect platform to gain maximum exposure.”
Having exhibited at Utility Week Live since its inception three years ago, Advance Welding has watched the show grow into the trade’s leading platform for networking, and shares the exhibiton’s ethos for a drive towards net zero sooner rather than later. It’s brand ethic hat is synergistic with Smart Display’s commitment to re-using stand elements and keeping the exhibition industry out of landfill.
“Smart Display understands what makes an exhibition tick,” continues Kevin. “The design team always give us fantastic ideas from the get go; they always make exhibiting really easy, and we will continue to use them for many years to come.”
